# About

The Widget Context plugin [was created back in 2009](https://kaspars.net/blog/widget-logic-plugin-for-wordpress) as a user-friendly and secure alternative to the [Widget Logic](https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/) plugin which requires users to enter PHP code for the visibility logic.

The plugin is developed and maintained by [Kaspars Dambis](https://kaspars.net) who is a professional WordPress developer and core contributor and part of the WordPress community since 2007.
